For my stamping partner in crime I made this cute little card.

Graphic is un-known but they are three little girls form Quaker Oat Meal Scrap.

I used small scraps of printed papers along with stamps from Hero Arts and trimmed with Brown ribbon and Cream colored lace.

For Gingersnaps #136 Glorious Greens.

From K&Company Die-Cuts I picked the Green Backed bird for the focal point.

Sizzix embossing folder was chalked with Versa Magic Hint of Pesto,Backgound was stamped with Hero Arts Music Notes in Pumice Stone distress ink.

Keep A Green Bough, was a stamp from Oxford Impressions but it was far too large, so I typed the verse.

Teal Card is just for fun. I am not adding this to the challenge.

Working with Acetate and Alcohol Inks I cut the Bird and Eggs with dies.

The Bird and it’s cage is from Tim Holtz.

The Eggs are Spellbinders Oval Dies.Two Hero Arts stamps were used.

Plus the FLY stamp is from TAC.

Something New From My Stash.

I ordered five new punches, and thought you might

enjoy seeing what I’ve done with a few of them.

All these punches are from the Martha Stewart line of “All Over The Page”.

For this card I used the “Country Tile” punch.

My stamps are from Endless Creations and Prickley Pear.

The large embossing folder is from Sizzix.

The second card I used the “Crochet Flower” punch and punched

A 2 by 3 panel for the background.

The center panel uses Spellbinders Dies

and stamps from JustRite and Gina K.

Both cards were colored with Copic Markers.

GC #135 Favorite Papers Challenge

When I first read this challenge, I thought “This is To Easy”,

but now it’s really hard to pick just one.

For myself, I prefer just Off White paper as you can do so much with it.

Then when it comes to “Printed or Designer” paper it’s far to hard to pick, as my mood changes so much.

So today I’m going with this wonderful Blue designer paper form K & Company. I did distress this some and colored and stamped on it.

My stamps are from TAC, Cornish Heritage Farms, and Stampin’ Up.

GC #133 Challenge Use A Line or Set Stamps

I’m Not really sure if these Hero Arts Stamps “qualifies” as a SET or not, so I’m adding another card using a set from Rubber Tapestry.

For the Hero Note cards, they are 6 ¼ x 3 ½ and fit in a small business size envelope great for mailing and need no extra postage.

Each as a large Monogram sticker from the Dollar Store.

Each contains a small heart shape brat, along with Hearts punched from a Martha Stewart punch.

Also they are embossed with a large Sizzix embossing folder.

Hope you will enjoy them.

For the second card, The Rubber Tapestry Set, it’s an Old one, stock no. SFV 10005 Grape Border.

I used “Stardreams Shimmer” paper along with Versa Magic Chalk inksPunch is from Martha Stewart, embossing folder from Sizzix.

Boy this is a wonderful change from all the

Red’s of Christmas, and Oh So Needed!

I used a new stamp & emboss set from Hero Arts.It’s called Textured Impressions, and you get one cling mount stamp with matching embossing folder.

This one is called Thankful #657768.

I wet embossed it with white embossing powder and then dry embossed the image.

Cut out the center, added my image. How easy is this?

Added a few brads and ribbon and punched daisy.I hope you will take a break from all the Red’s and join use in this challenge at Gingersnaps.

It runs until Jan 22 2012.

Still gives you lots of time to get back into the Red’s of Valentines.

Bringing Home A Christmas Tree

With the help of a Google search I found this graphic and fell in love with it.
So why not make it into a Christmas card.

I used shimmer paper to print this on, and IRL, it is to die for (knock out cool).

Two Spellbinders dies were used,
paper is from K & Company, only stamp used is from Stampin’ Up.

Tim Holtz Pinecone die and embossing folder from Sizzix round out this card.

Snowflakes and Punched Tree

Adding two cards today .The snowflake card was done using a new folder from SizzixPunch is from Martha Stewart . Snowman are from Stampin’ Up.Saying is from My Sentiments Exactly.

Punched Tree was done using a Daisy Punch from Marvy.

Took me forever to glue down all the flowers.

Then I embossed it, added different colors of Ice Stickles and Liquid Pearls, some stickers and small silver beads.Diamond die from Spellbinders, stamp from Crafty Secrets.

Quilt Batting Mittens

From My House To Yours.

This house pattern was once used for a Trading Card Swap,

and at one time measured 3 ½ x 2 ½.

I have re-cut this to fit my graphic’s.Graphic’s are from Clearly Vintage, Magic Moonlight and Graphic Fairy.

Roof is a 45 degree angle and punched with different Martha Stewart punches.

Stamp credits are from Hero Arts, Stampin’ Up, Crafty Secrets and small doily is from Scrappy Cat.

Tim Holtz On Glass

so what not put that face to glass.

Using a little Stazon and Microscope Slides,

Sharpies and some stickers I came up with these four ornaments.

I backed the slides with Spellbinders (Fancy Tags Two), some Pearl-X Powders were use.

Vintage Christmas Greetings.

I did a Google Search for Vintage Christmas cards and found this graphic along with some others.

But this one just seamed to speak to me, so I sat down and after three times around, I finally came up with this.

In the close up picture you can see the glimmer and sparkle of the “Atyou Spica”, pen I used. Just wanted to keep it as natural as I could, just highlighted the white with my White Gel Pen.The large “Embossing Folder and Die”, is from Cuttlebug.

"Anemone Flower” Christmas Cards.

I’m hoping this flower will pass as a Poinsettia.

Regardless I love the look of these cards.

Stamp Credits are; Music Background from Impression Obsession, Hero Arts Swirls, Merry Christmas unknown.

The boarder strip was made by Versa Mark and Clear Embossing powder then covered with Vanilla Acrylic Paint. I washed off some of the paint and let it dry. K & Company Christmas papers were used. Sizzix Embossing folder was stained with Versa Magic Chalk.

GC #124 Color Challenge is Black and Gray.

It’s a “Cool Gray Day”’ here so it’s perfect for this challenge.

I’m sorry ladies I didn’t have a lot of “Gray’s” in my stash of cardstock.

So I ended up bleaching and dieing cardstock to get my grays.

Edger was printed on “Bleached” CS then cut out, and the Printed BG paper was embossed and painted over then washed to get the gray color.

I used an iron to remove the embossing then stamped the Raven and embossed the image. Needless to say this was a big challenge for me.

I used a new Spellbinders Die called Anemone Flower to make the flower.

The center of the flower is a fabric covered button,

witch I stainwith Gathered Twigs distress ink.

Just for fun, as I have been bitten with these new stamps from “Our Crafty Lounge”, from what I have heard they came out with these stamps for the movie “Twilight”.

I love the fun fangs, and the drops of blood.

My vampire is a download and the slivery spider web is a netting type fabric.

The stamped spider web and spider are from Memory Box, and Red Heart is from Hero Arts. All other stamps are from Our Crafty Lounge.

GC122: Spicy Supply Challenge - Alcohol Inks

Alcohol Inks is the theme for this challenge.

Stamps used are Leaves; Hero Arts. Leaves are Changing; DRS.

Small Umbrella Man is an Embossing folder from Sizzix.

Alcohol Inks used; Butterscotch,Red Pepper, and Lettuce, these were dropped onto Acetate.

I ran the sheet of acetate through the Xyron and added regular cardstock to the back.

I dry embossed the umbrella man, cut him out and stamped my leaves which

I embossed with Black Embossing Powder,

and cut them out.

Keeping in the “Crimper Theme” at Gingersnaps I made a fun “Q & E” card.

I crimped the outside cream panel in two directions and tapped with my DOT’S Stoneware Texture stamp with distress inks.

The Oka Leaves are done, one was crimped and one was inked with alcohol inks on a pop can.

The center was punched with a Martha Stewart punch. Autumn Wonder stamp is from TAC.

Yesterday I received my stamp order from “Mark’s Finest Papers.

What wonderful stamps these are, and great service too. These stamps are from the new Fall release . Thanks Mark’s Finest, I love them.

I’m using two technique’s called Distressed Color Blocking from Feb, 2011, and Cuttlebug Smoosh from Oct, 2007 from The Technique Junkie Newsletters.

Don’t these two technique’s just fit together so well? I also added alittle “Crimped Pop Can”, leaf to the Fox card witch was colored with Alcohol inks.

My distress inks were Pumice Stone and Rusty Hinge. My stamps are from “Mark’s Finest Papers”.

New Punches

I’m back, and home again. Went Truck shopping for Dad’s birthday. He’s been at this since early this Spring. I’m sooo, glad this is over.We went all the way up to Green Bay, and then ended in Appleton Wisconsin to find just the right (RED) Truck.

Anyway, I picked up three new punches along the way but haven’t been home long enough to try them until now.So Today I’m posting two punched fall cards. Hope you enjoy them.

This is the large (All Over The Page) punch from Martha Stewart. My stamps are from Hero Arts and the inside (phase) is from DRS and butterfly is from TAC.

Second card, punched with an (All over the page) punch. But this time I did a lot of measuring to get this to fall right in the middle of the card.But it was sooo, very worth the extra work.

The large leaf is Marvy punch and punch on vellum and inked with distress inks, and stamped with Memento’s ink Inside shows the ribbon through the punched work. My stamps are (front) Hero Arts and Stampin’ Up, inside is DRS and Michael’s dollar stamp. Hope you enjoy them, have a wonderful Fall Day.

“Crimpers”, is the Theme for the Spicy Supply Challenge.

Wow when was the last time you have used your crimper?

Remember back when these wonderful tools came out? I too couldn’t wait to own one, and when I did, I used it all the time as it was our only way to (attempt) to have an (Embossed) background.

I remember spraying regular cardstock with adhesive and adding brown fabric to it and running that through the crimper to have a “Faux Corduroy Fabric” look. Ok Never Mind, I’m dating my self.

For My Card; Stamps used, DRS “Autumn Has Arrived“, Inkadinkado“Pumpkin and Vine”. Spellbinders Oval Dies, and EK Success Large Flower Burst punch.

Back To School With Primary Colors

Today I’m working with some Cuttlebug folders and primary colors of Red, Blue and Yellow just like our GC #116 color challenge. I used Dew Drops Memento inks along with Distress inks and hand made my writing paper to look like grade school paper.

I’m not sure who graphic this is, and there is only one stamp used (Hero Arts Autumn). I’ve added some old Rick Rack and a Bee charm.

Today I’m working with some beautiful designer paper from Gypsy Chic (Butterfly Garden). Plus I used two new stamps from TAC, called Fairy Wishes. If you look close enough to the background, you can see this beautiful bird cage with butterfly. I added chalk highlights to the fairy’s face and glitter pen to the wings. Gingersnaps Chestnut Challenge this time is Babies and Tots.
So get out some of those great childhood images and play along with us. Today I have chosen three images from “Rubber Cottage” to make some little note cards, plus I’m using a technique from the current newsletter called “Vellum Sentiments”. My design paper is from Basic Grey.

The fun little word stamps are from TAC. Copic Markers were used to color the images, and pinking shears were used to cut the edges of the vellum. Just a fun little “Tom Boy look”. Each card is just less than 5 x 5 inches square.

I’m posting a little fun frame I did yesterday. No special reason other than it was far too hot to be outside, so I sat in the basement and played with this. So what do you think? Designer papers from K & Company, Spellbinders Dies, Un- known graphic, stamps from Betsy Griffin and Hero Arts. I embossed the frame with Versa Fine White Chalk ink and white embossing powder.

The graphic is Black and White I printed in on acetate and mounted it to designer paper to give it some color. Everything is mounted on foam type to give it a 3D affect. Hope you are staying cool, they are calling for 98 today, and so it’s back to the basement for me, thanks for stopping in.

GC Blue Moon Challenge

Linda has asked us to use Tim Hotlz’s Christmas 2007 Day 7 technique for our challenge this week. I think my ink pads are too dry for this technique as I couldn’t get the embossing powder to sick. But after three attempts I did get this card to work. I’m sure if I had nice wet pads to work with this would have been a wonderful technique. Stay Close to Nature

Technique- Out of The Box, or “Oval,” and Whisper Frames.
We were out to North Dakota a few weeks ago on vacation. No stop in Wahpeton would be complete without stopping to see my (Partner in Crime)… Sandy. We started Scrapbooking in 1994 and in 1995 we completed our books, then I talk her into Stamping!!!
Needless to say after a night of talking, showing and playing with cards, we had a great time. Sandy said if you run up to Fargo before you head home,…. You (HAVE TO) stop at K&K Crafts in the Moorhead Center Mall. Let me tell you I was never so happy to spend two hundred dollars in such a shot time as I felt that afternoon. This card is just a small part of my goodie I came home with. Stamp credits are Impression Obsession, the verse is from “Good for the Soul”, set CL-321 and “Gardening Tools”, F-1805. New Spellbinders dies are, “Floral Flourishes”, set of seven dies. The image was colored with Copic markers and sprayed with (my mix of), Glimmer Mist. I stamped the verse on acetate. Hero Arts has a monthly challenge and this month it is “Watercoloring with Distress Inks”. This is a “Cased Card”, from a very talented lady, Jacqueline at www.myscrapbasket.blogspot.com I bought this Hero Arts stamp sometime ago and didn’t really know what I wanted to do with it, and after seeing Jacqueline’s card I went nuts… Love it now, and will try it again.

The printed frame is from “The Graphic Fairy”, and the little girl is from “Magic Moonlight”. She was printed on acetate and dusted with white Pearl-X on the back. The “Sending Smiles”, stamp is also from Hero Arts.

Have a “Cool” week, temps here in the high 90’s today and very humid.

Feeling Blue & Missing You

Had time to work on a card yesterday as it was raining here and my hubby was working. Funny what you can do when you have the house to your self. My graphic is a wonderful Spring type lady, that I don’t remember who posted it. I printed it onto acetate then ran it through the Xtron.

White embossed the Hero Arts script on the corner, trimmed to size and added it to a scrap of designer paper.

The cream panel was stamped with a small TAC stamp in pumice stone distress ink. Then punched and trimmed to size.

The Blue background paper is another scrap which I stamped with two stamps. In broken china is a free stamp from convention (name ?) and the white embossing is Hero Arts stamp. The small tag (Missing You) is from Stampin’ up.

Thought I would add some cards that I did some time ago, so you don’t think I have given up on stamping. I have been keeping up, but it’s late at night and by the time I get around to posting, I’m just to beat to see anymore. First is a tag that I used distress inks and a new stamp from Hero Arts. I did two cards for the Play Date Challenge but didn’t like either so I didn’t post them. I love this set of colors even though mine are way too dark.

Song Of Spring.

Sunday was one of those days were you sat and wonder,

“What am I going to do today?” Needless to say I started out cleaning off my work area when I came across a plastic box of background techniques that I did sometime ago. I remember at the time I was not all that impressed with the “Background Burst Extension Technique”, but thought I would try this again.

This background just felt “Springy”, with such light soft pastel colors; I could not resist trying it.

My little girl graphic comes from “Artful Illusions” http://www.mrsolearysart.com/ the “Artasia Archives - Little Girls” sheet.
I used a second technique on the musical clef called “Depth of Field”.

This card contains two techniques.

Depth of Field from June 2009.

Waiting for Spring

Now how sweet is this face?

I’ve had this graphic for some time, and for the life of I don’t remember were it came from, but I’m if you looked in Magic Moonlight’s graphic’s you would find it.
Today I am using a new window frame from “Heartfelt Creations”,

its HCD 708 “Fancy Window Frame”.
I cut two frames apart to make this one.

Using Victorian Velvet distress ink to add color and highlights.

Wow what a neat frame.

My only stamp used is from Inkadinkado, the technique I used is Neutral Shadows from the T.J. newsletter.

Well it is time for Valentines. This is a easy simple punched Valentine. How many of us have bought ton’s of punches that sit in a drawer and only get “Looked At”, and it’s when we see someone else’s work, we say” Gee I could of done that!”

Well this is me! After seeing Holly Brown’s punched Valentine, I too said,
OH DA!

My punch is from Martha Stewart and it’s called “French Scroll”.
There is four layers that have been layered with foam and raised, the “3D” affect.
My little graphic is from “Magic Moonlight Graphic’s”.
I ran red ribbon around the edge and added gold heart brads.

Did Someone Say “Party Hats”?

Gingersnaps Creative Connections Theme is Party Hats.
So my card is just for fun. My stamp is from Arts Impressions and she is colored with Copic Markers and sprayed with Glimmer Mist.
On acetate I printed my verse which is hard to read due to all the shine of the acetate and confetti party hats, but (“IRL”) it’s really easy to read.

The verse reads:

“Oh Please”!
No Party Hats and Horns.
My Head Hurts!

Have A Boot-iful Holiday Season

My TAC order came in yesterday and I could not wait to try this card.
The boots and holly are colored with Copic Markers, I added my

“Atyou Spica Markers” in 00 Clear and

21 Lips

tick. I used Cuttlebug Plus “Elegant Ellipse: embossing fold to cut the center oval in the card. Using my Spellbinder Long Oval dies, I cut a frame to hold the boots.
For the inside of the card I repeated the oval frame and added, “Have A Boot-iful Holiday Season” and small Holly. Colored with Copic”s.

Cuttlebug Smoosh Christmas Cards

From October 2007 newsletter come these Cuttlebug Smoosh cards.
I made these (12) in all for our stamping group and in real life, the colors are much softer and easier on the eye.

I’m using a new Cuttlebug Embossing plate that cuts and embosses all in one pass.
I’m not sure the size of this one, but it fits right inside an A2 card.
My graphics are from Moonlight, The Graphic Fairy and Clearly Vintage.

This ornament was just for fun, there’s no special technique involved here.
I apologize for the poor picture today as it’s snowing here, so it’s almost to dark for pictures.

My Retro Lady is a graphic from “Magic Moonlight”, and she is just a headshot.
I would love to see a full scan of her, as I bet she is beautiful!
My stickers are from “Plane Class”, Designer papers from G. C. D. Studios.

Fat Snowmen Last Longer.

Thought this would work well with our CG# 81 Gingersnap “Snow People” Challenge.

While at convention this fall, I saw these “Country Stars” done as ornaments and decorations for packages and gift bags. So easy to do I just had to try it too.

My little snow girl is from Darcie’s, and I don’t know if she is still available as she is from the early 1990’s. The two embossing folders are from Sizzix. The “Fat Snowmen” is a computer font. She was colored with Copic Markers and sprayed with Glimmer Mist.

Vintage Christmas card (Bleach Swipes from 12.2009).

I"m adding this to the "Color Challenge, Vintage Hues" over at Gingersnapes.

Today I have something new from convention; it is the Cuttlebug Embossed background.

These new plates cut and emboss all it one pass.
This embossing plate is called “Brocade Window”, and my technique is from Dec 2009 issue called “Bleach swipes”.

The little girl graphic is from “Magic Moonlight”. The stamp is from TAC. The printed paper background is from “Basic Grey”.
