Out of the Box (Or Book)

This is a Papier-mâché book and the original paper looked like this.

Needless to say I had some major fun on this project.

I used a ton of stamps, and lots of distressed inks, acrylic paints,

molding paste, spellbinders die and metal parts

A Messy Spring Tag

Well today is the first day that we have heard Frogs Singing,

SOOOO, It Must Be Spring!!

    Plus the Blue Birds are back, (that’s a good thing.)

For my tag, thought I would try something (very) different for me,

Looks like a mess, but I’m into that Messy Mood.

Using a Large Manila (8 inches) tag, I did a TH thing with DI on my resist sheet, alittle H2o and dragged the poor little tag all over it.   Sponged on some more DI’s, Stamped some images, then smeared on Gesso, which I cut a Spellbinders die and pressed it into the wet Gesso.

Then I used embossing paste and another die cut for the butterfly.

Just before it dried I stamped a butterfly image into the wet embossing paste. 

Added some Gold paint to the wings.

Boy it feels so good to get messy again.

The Lost, Has Returned.

After four weeks of vacation it’s great to be home and attempting to do some stamping again. Funny how the simple things, become the things you miss the most. 

This year we broke down and bought a Garmin, needless to say we gave it a good workout! We even found Luckenbach Texas, also made it to Muskogee, Oklahoma. We had a wonderful time, but it’s great to be home.

 

 

 

Now down to the good part,

as I did get in some stampin’ time yesterday.

 

 

 

 

This card uses new Dies from Spellbinders and new Dies from Cuttlebug.

Not much for stamping, just one stamp from Crafty Secrets.
